We have a terrific staff of instructors whose enthusiasm and joy for what they do will inspire you to achieve nothing but excellence, have fun and make friends too.
Another attribute to the center is the old saying Wellness of Body, Mind and Spirit. This is achieved with the help of Yoga, aerobic exercise and one of the hottest fitness classes around, Zumba, a Latin-dance based aerobic workout for people of all fitness levels.

A little history
Inspired by a long-time dream to open their own dance studio, Maria Gutierrez and her husband, Eric Ferrar, opened La Montiel Dance at 17 Main St. in Warwick,N.Y.
Maria, a Warwick resident for the past 19 years, had been teaching Latin dance at the Warwick Community Center for the past three years.
As a tribute to Maria's Cuban-born mother, the center is named after her. Gladys Montiel was a renowned professional singer and rumba dancer in Havana prior to coming to the United States. Her father, Enrique Muniz, a writer, retired from a career in Cuba as a producer and director of nightclub performances, television, radio and film.
On Feb. 1, 2007 the doors of La Montiel Dance were opened and the beginning of a long-awaited day had arrived. Everyone is very excited!
